What is México?
México is the country geographically located south of the USA. Mexico lost the present-day states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, as well as Utah, and portions of Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Wyoming, following the United States invasion.
The “negotiations” to end the war established the payment of an indemnity for the lost territory. The sum paid for the loss of more than half its territory was only six million dollars: Three million dollars were paid immediately, and the remainder was settled in annual installments with interest.
